Hedgeapple Arts strives to be open and inclusive to all. We make efforts to support our belief that “ART IS FOR EVERYONE!” With that in mind, we also know that we have our own limitations of staffing, space, and resources, and believe it’s important to share information that may help artists and their families decide if our Art Camps or Art Classes are a good fit for them at this time.
PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF WORKING WITH CLAY AND OTHER ART MATERIALS:
Working with clay can be physically demanding and may include lifting, carrying, and wedging 25–50 lbs of clay; sustained use of hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders; applying pressure while throwing or hand-building; and extended periods of standing or seated work. Participants are responsible for assessing their own physical abilities and working within their limits.
By enrolling, participants acknowledge and accept the inherent physical demands and risks of working with clay. Hedgeapple Arts, LLC, its owners, instructors, and staff are not liable for injuries, strain, or physical discomfort resulting from participation in studio activities.
Space and Accessibility: We are located in a historic church building with plenty of parking nearby. There are a few steps down to access the studio, but there is also a ramp. The doorway to the studio is approximately 30” wide (but double-check with us to make sure if your chair/device is close to that same width.) There are restrooms on the same level as the studio and an elevator up the hall, leading to more accessible restrooms on the floor above the studio.

Please reach out to us if you have specific questions about accessibility or any of the information presented above.
