WHAT IS EMPTY BOWLS?
Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement by artists and craftspeople in cities and towns around the world to raise money for food-related charities. Artists donate handmade bowls, people purchase tickets for a simple meal of soup and bread, and choose an empty bowl to take home as a reminder of those who have empty bowls at home due to food insecurity. Funds raised will support local food pantries and shelters. This is a community effort and there are many ways to get involved!
